Tucked along Apostolou Pavlou Avenue in Kato Paphos, the Agia Solomoni Catacomb is a small ancient underground chapel and burial site steeped in legend. Also known as the Chapel of the Seven Sleepers, it is tied to the story of Agia Solomoni and her seven sons, early Christians said to have sheltered here from Roman persecution. Above the catacomb grows a sacred terebinth (pistachio) tree, where for centuries visitors have tied colourful rags and cloth to its branches as offerings, wishes and prayers for healing.

Descend the stairs to explore a quiet, atmospheric warren of rooms and tunnels, with religious icons and a small prayer space inside. Entry is free and a visit takes only about 10 to 15 minutes, making it an easy, spiritual stop between other Paphos sights. Free parking sits nearby near the Casablanca restaurants, and a bus stop is close at hand. Bring a torch, as lighting can be limited and lower sections may gather water.
